Under 35 Architects exhibition 2026 OPERATION BOOK
35歳以下の若手建築家による建築の展覧会(2026)図録
1993年宮崎県生まれ。2017年東京藝術大学卒業。同大学教育研究助手、スイス連邦工科大学チューリッヒ校(ETHZ)客員講師を経て、明治大学助教、東京藝術大学非常勤講師。大学在学中の2016年、設計から制作、施工までを一貫して手がける工房としてstudio arche設立。理論と実践を往復する「工学的工芸」を起点に、家具、彫刻、インスタレーション、建築に至るまで、領域とスケールを横断した制作を行う。主な作品に大阪・関西万博休憩所の家具群「Seating / Object for EXPO 2025」、台北市指定史跡の改修「MTRL Taipei」、構造解析と樹種を対応させたインスタレーション「as it is」など。
グリアー・ハナ・ハヤカワ aki(architects) Hana Hayakawa Greer
1994年福岡県福岡市生まれ。日本とニュージーランドにルーツを持つ。University of Auckland建築学部卒業、同大学大学院修了。2016年-2020年SANAAに勤務し、国内外のプロジェクトに携わるとともに、「みんなの家(Home-fo--All)」の活動に参画。2021年、ヘクター・バランテ・モンテスと共にaki(architects)を設立。秋月を拠点に、国内外で建築設計を基軸とした社会実践を行う。第43回SDレビューSD賞、第38回福岡県美しいまちづくり建築賞[建築住宅センター理事長賞]受賞。『TIME』誌「World’s Greatest Places 2025」に選出。2023-2025年、筑紫女学園大学現代社会学科非常勤講師。2025年-九州工業大学、2026年-九州大学および九州産業大学にて非常勤講師。
1992年生まれ。モロッコ人。HMONP建築士、博士(美術)。2021年東京藝術大学美術研究科博士課程修了。2015年、パリ・ラ・ウ゛ィレット建築大学修士課程修了。2021年から2023年まで、妹島和世+西沢立衛/SANAAにて、うめきた大屋根や深セン海洋博物館などを担当。2023年、建築家の横前拓磨氏と共に、アジア、アフリカ、中東地域におけるプロジェクトに取り組む国際的なアトリエ、YOKOMAE et BOUAYADを立ち上げた。2024年、仙台の国際センター駅北地区複合施設公募型プロポーザルにおいてファイナリストに選出され、同年Institut du Monde Arabeから U34アラブ世界デザイン賞にノミネートされた。
1990年東京都生まれ。2014年東京藝術大学卒業、2016年同大学院修了。アトリエ・ワン一級建築士事務所を経て、2021年に渡英。A small studio(London)に勤務。2023に帰国し、独立。サコキカク主宰。建築物の設計やデザインと共に使われ方を含めて提案「キカク」し、提供している。主な仕事に、被災した駅に計画した舞台「袋田プラットフォーム」既存ビルの2層に渡ってアイドルファンが集まる家を展開させたカフェ「House of fans」衰退した宿場町の復興を目指して改修した1軒目の宿「半芸ハウス」姉と猫の暮らしのための部屋「Aneko room」などがある。
そして、展覧会より優秀な展示作品を1点審査選出し、Under 35 Architects exhibition 2026 Gold Medalと、これから世界での活躍が期待できる若手建築家を1名選出し、Toyo Ito Prize伊東賞を授与致します。

AAF (Art and Architect Festa) is pleased to officially announce the Call for Entries for the 17th annual exhibition, "Under 35 Architects exhibition" that will be held in Autumn 2026. We encourage new generation of Architects to contribute for the future. Thus, all under-35 Architects are given opportunity to participate in this exhibition.
In this exhibition, young architects are given the opportunity to measure their abilities and express their ideas for the future architecture to the society.
One outstanding work during the exhibition will be selected for the “U-35 Gold Medal”,and We will select young architects who are expected to play an active role in the world and will be awarded the “Toyo Ito Prize”.
We are looking forward for your application. Please find applications detail in the following.
※ Venue and Schedules are tentative.
Please note that there may be some changes in circumstances.
【Eligibility】
1. Those born in April 1990 or later. Applicant must be 35 years old or younger, as of March 31st 2026.
2. Applicant must be independent and does not belong to any institution or organization, such as
College/University(except for PhDs/Doctorate Degrees), or Architectural Firm(except for the founder or representative).
3. Application may be individual or Group(as long as each member qualifies stated conditions)

【Criteria】
Application and selection criteria have changed. It is divided into 3 categories: 1-6 general application slots, 1-6 recommended candidate slots, and 1 seed right exhibitor slot. A general applicant is a candidate who is self-recommended. Nominated Candidates refer to candidates nominated from among 7 guest architects and 2 architectural historians.
This change in criteria arose from a “10-person meeting” held after the symposium on 21 October 2017 and is now in force. (Details of the “10-person meeting” can be found in the management book 2018)
※ The changes are made to encourage more applicants for the improvement of the exhibition quality.
※ Recommended nominee candidates will be selected and endorsed by the following architects & architectural historians.

【Evaluation Process】
All entries (CVs, Portfolios) will be evaluated by the appointed Jury, Architect,Yuko Nagayama.
We might contact some of the applicants for further interview, if necessary.

Expecting 7 qualified entries depending on the final venue size & layout.
(Breakdown: 1-6 general applications,1-6 nominations from the recommendations.)

【Conditions】
Each exhibitor is responsible for all production cost, installation, dismantling, loading and unloading, transportation, accommodation and other necessary costs and expenses.
In addition, it is essential to be able to attend all schedules, such as exhibitor briefing session, roundtable discussion, symposium, gallery talk, carry-in and carry out date, etc., based on the holding schedule.
【Privileges】
1. Maximize your great exposure during the exhibition. Exhibition expects 10,000 visitors from different fields and places.
2. Opportunity to reveal your potentials and get recognized by well-known architect/s in the symposium.

【Exhibition Rules & Regulations】
1. Each exhibitor is responsible for own exhibit set up as well as necessary loading and unloading. The Organizer is not responsible for any damage or accident during the operation.
2. Follow all facility restrictions. Please consult the facility staff for all detail.
3. All exhibits and portions thereof must fully comply with applicable health, fire, and safety regulations. No combustible materials. Flammable materials and fluids must be kept in safety containers. The Organizer is not responsible any damage or accidents in case of fire.
4. Copyright of exhibit works belongs to the exhibitor; however the organizer has the rights to use or provide photos or contents for any media related actions.
5. During the preparation and exhibition period, suspension may be applied in case of any violation or trouble caused by the exhibitor or related to the exhibitor, including the exhibition space.
